(de·fen·es·tra·tion) n.
1. the act of throwing someone or something out of a window.
2. switching from MS Windows to Linux or another operating system.
The word comes from the Latin de ("from; out of") and fenestra ("window"). Merriam-Webster's dictionary users named it as one of their favorite words of the year in 2004

Definitely one of MY favourite words.
Any opinions on the origin of "musak" (apparently meaning electronic crap music like the stuff they play in lifts or midi files) or "emo"?
This newfangled jargon continues to confuse me!
